God made us for relationship with Him. But sin — our independence from God — separated us from His life, and we could not restore that relationship ourselves."For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." — Romans 3:23
In love, the Father sent Jesus Christ, His Son. Jesus lived the life we could not live and died the death we deserved. On the third day He rose again, defeating sin and death."But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." — Romans 5:8
The invitation is simple: turn from sin, believe in Jesus, and receive Him as Lord and Saviour. He gives forgiveness, the Holy Spirit, a new heart and eternal life."If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." — Romans 10:9

Salvation is not the words themselves — it is faith in Jesus Christ. But if these words give voice to what your heart is saying, pray them slowly, sincerely, out loud.
"Lord Jesus, I need You. I turn from my sin and I turn to You. Thank You for dying in my place and rising again. I believe You are the Son of God. I receive You as my Lord and my Saviour. Come and live in me. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. I give You my life — today and every day that follows. Amen."
